St.Thomas College of Advanced Studies, Edamury, Ranni is the Golden Jubilee Project of St. Thomas College Ranny which was established in 1964. The college is owned and managed by St. Thomas Valiyapally Edavaka, Ranni a pioneer parish of Knanaya Arch Diocese – a Christian Minority Community. 

The church has been in the forefront in providing educational facilities in Ranny since 1916. M.S. Higher Secondary School is the first educational initiative undertaken by the church. 

Today it has to its credit eight educational institutions imparting knowledge to students from local communities and distant places as well. The alumni of these institutions are spread across the length and breadth of the world.
